The JM Library opened to most classes this week. We have an enriching
year ahead of us with greatly expanded computer access and a new online
catalog which is searchable from home. The link is here here.
Bookmark it! The CATALOG tab puts you into JM?'s catalog. Some of the other links
from the library?'s home page are databases which require passwords. The
librarians are checking the passwords for accuracy and will publish
them in the next Walkie Talkie.
The first PTA Meeting of the year will be between the classroom
sessions at back to school night, Wednesday, September 20. Come join us and meet the PTA Board and some of our PTA-employed Staff and get updates on all of our programs and activities.
Today we held a fun music assembly to get our 1st through
5th graders excited about instrumental music and to consider
trying an instrument in our before- and after-school
program.
The students heard various types of band and
string instruments, and were introduced to the music teachers.
We are very pleased that Matt Morrish will return for
band, and our new string teacher will be Gael Alcock. The
registration form, class schedule, and more details about
the program will go out in the Enrichment Program packet
next week. Classes begin the week of September 25. Feel
free to ask any committee member about the program:
Steve Brown, Maria Ku, Doris Lew, Joe Pomar, Patty
Rathwell, and Deb Rinehart.
