PTA Meeting

Join us for the next PTA meeting this Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 pm. (childcare available in the library, $2 per child, no diaper changing.) We hope you wil be able to join us for what promises to be an informative meeting -- including Walk-a-thon results, Spring Fair/Yard Sale planning news and the presentation of next year's slate of PTA officers (voting will take place at the May 18 meeting). We will also be kicking off the formal budget planning process and it is our goal to involve all parents and staff in shaping the PTA's spending priorities for '06-'07.

At the last meeting, several parents mentioned they'd like more detailed information about the programs that the PTA funds. Attached to this Walkie-Talkie are some descriptions of the library, computer lab, Rhythm and Moves and the teachers aides. So, please study this information and come to Thursday's meeting to help give us your input in how the PTA should be spending its money. Hope to see you there!

School Closure Thursday 4/20

Dr. Ward has declared a state of emergency and stated that Thursday
is a non-student work day. We are asking parents to keep their children home tomorrow. In the event that this imposes a hardship, please contact the school
office on Thursday morning. In addition, AT will be open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. for children who are already enrolled, but after-school enrichment classes are cancelled.
