AUCTION DONORS AND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Fall Auction “The Crush—A Celebration of Northern
California’s Grape Harvest”
The countdown
has begun—only six weeks until the 25th Anniversary of the
JM Fall Auction.

Here’s what you can do:
1) Donate goods and/or services. This can run the gamut from
hand knit items to a week at your vacation home. If you can’t
donate anything personally, then solicit items or cash from your
company, your friends, or that rich uncle in San Francisco.
Connections to the hospitality and entertainment industries are
very highly valued as Auction items. Pick up donor forms and drop
off donations in the school office. Additionally you can donate
online via our auction web site. If you’ve used our auction site last
year, you can donate using your existing login and password. If
you are new to the auction site or forgot your password, please use
the ‘Find Existing Record’ feature (every parent has a record in our
database). You will be prompted for your last name, street address
number and email. If your account has a password assigned to it,
it will automatically be sent to you via email. If your account does
not have a password or we don’t have your email on record, you
will be asked to update your account. If you experience any problems
accessing or updating your account, please contact us at
joaquinmiller@maestroweb.com.
2) Volunteer in some way to help with the Auction. Right now we
are in need of individuals to make follow-up phone calls to potential
donors. There are many other ways to help, as well. Please
contact either Cindy Lynds (482-3502(, Liz Hughes (531-4619)
or Paul Derksen (336-7000) for more information.

Back to School Picnic this Sunday!

You’ll have another chance to catch up with old friends and meet our new families at The Back to School Picnic, Sunday, September 11, 11:00-2:00 pm at
Roberts Park. Munch a hot dog, kick around a soccer ball, and have some fun with your JM friends. For details see the flyer in the latest Walkie Talkie.

The Dad’s club is looking for a few more volunteers to help barbecue at the
Back To School Picnic. No experience is necessary! All dads (and even Moms!) are welcome. All times are available and you can stay as little or as long as you’re having fun! We’ll be grilling dogs, burgers, and sausages. It’s a great way to help out, meet some new parents and have a good time — all the while, raising money for various school projects. A sign-up sheet is posted on the PTA bulletin board or you can send e-mail to Ed Bratt at ed@gettheball.com.
