Are you a prospective parent who wants to learn more about Joaquin Miller School? We're inviting parents of eventual kindergarteners who live in the school’s attendance area to a Prospective Parent Open House this Wednesday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The event will take place in the school’s multipurpose room. The first 15 minutes will be social, followed by remarks from Joaquin Miller parents and staff, kindergarten classroom visits, and a question-and-answer period. The event is for adults only. Parents are encouraged to park in the back yard or on neighboring side streets. For more information, contact newparents@joaquinmiller.org.
The second-grade fall feast is over, but you can still remember what a blast it was with these great photos by parent Nathanael Bennett. There are dozens of shots in the gallery. Check it out.
Thank you to all of you who helped make this year's Fall Auction such a big success. The Sequoya Country Club was brimming with a wide range of fabulous items, class baskets, dinner parties, crafts, gift certificates, memberships, outings and more for sale, and the party-goers came ready to spend. This was a banner year for the auction, bringing in over $75,000! Special thanks to Alice Hale and Stephanie Chatterjee who co-chaired this gala event, to the scores of volunteers and donors who made it all possible, and of course, to all of you who shelled out money "for the children."
