JM'S Annual Yard Sale (8:00 am-2:00 pm) and revived Spring Fair (12:00 pm-4:00 pm) is Saturday, May 1st. Come and shop, visit with friends, purchase food from the famous Dad's Club and have fun playing games. Along with the fun game booths and cool prizes (some of which you can check out in the school's display case) we will have some great entertainment including the East Bay Dance Troupe and a Kung Fu display. As well, Lee Tollefsfrud, a Joaquin Miller father, will be our DJ for the last half of the fair. The Montclair "Score!" is providing face painting and we will have a tatto table. Other fun treats include popcorn, cotton candy and a giant inflatable caterpillar for kids to romp through. See the latest Walkie Talkie for more info. See you there!!
Joaquin Miller Elementary School is hosting its annual mega-sale on Saturday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will take place in the multipurpose room of the school, located at 5525 Ascot Drive in Oakland. Hundreds of Joaquin Miller families are donating good quality household items, toys, clothes, kid and baby equipment, sporting goods, tools, furniture, CDs, videos and much more. LOTS of bargains will be found! Delicious baked goods also will be sold.
Joaquin Miller families (and anyone else!) can drop off donations in the multipurpose room from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on the following days:

Pizza Night is cancelled because Paradise Pizza has closed. But the Dads Club will still meet, but at Cybelle's instead, same time. See you there.
April 20th is Pizza Night at Paradise Pizza in Montclair with 30 percent of sales going to the Joaquin Miller PTA, as long as you bring in a flyer (the link to it is below). The event runs from 5-9 p.m. and all JM families are invited and encouraged to attend. At 6:30, the Dads Club will hold a meeting to discuss the upcoming Spring Fair and its booth and other ways to help the school. All JM dads are welcome. Download flyer here.
