Shop with SCRIP
The SCRIP program provides an opportunity to generate revenue for our school without requiring additional out-of-pocket expenses or time in parents’ busy schedules. The school receives a percentage of the SCRIP amount purchased, from participating merchants.
After filling out the brief 
eScrip application form or purchasing your paper scrip for Farmer Joe's or Berkeley Bowl, your participation requires only the time needed to shop at participating establishments.

Every time you shop at over 6,000 merchant locations, a percentage of your purchase will go to the Joaquin Miller PTA. You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty (Safeway), Macy*s, debit and credit cards for use in the program. Then, participating merchants make contributions to the PTA, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. Like to eat out? Use your registered cards at particpating local restaurants and earn extra money for your school.

Registering is safe and easy!
1. Go to the registration page.
2. Type in "Joaquin Miller School'' and click "search"
3. Click the " Joaquin Miller School PTA" link and the follow the directions.
Remember to Register your Safeway Card! Every year, families are being asked to renew their commitment to the Safeway stores, which include Safeway, Vons and Pavillions, as part of the Back to School process. Visit www.escrip.com and click on "Yes! Renew.'' You'll need your Safeway club card number or phone number.
Signing up for eScrip is very important ways to help fund activities for Joaquin Miller School.
Farmer Joe's and Berkeley Bowl Paper Scrip
Now you have an opportunity to have 3% of your Farmer Joe's and 4% of your Berkeley Bowl grocery shopping dollars go to Joaquin Miller, while supporting a local organic family-owned store.
The scrip comes in denominations of $20, $25, $50, or $100 for FJ and $20 for BB. 
Whatever scrip amount is suitable for you is fine with us.

How does it work? Scrip is purchased by the school in bulk, at a discount. Parents, friends and others buy these gift certificates at full face value and use them for their purchases at their favorite local store.
How can I participate? It's easy! Email or call Maria Ku and tell her how much scrip you'd like to purchase. Maria is on campus every morning at drop off time, and many afternoons at pick up time. If you want to set up a regular schedule for you to purchase scrip, this can be arranged as well.
Use the Scrip to make purchases. It's easy and convenient because the Scrip is used at Farmer Joe's or Berkeley Bowl, same as cash. The only difference is that your school benefits from your purchase.
These funds supplement state dollars, local taxes, and other fundraisers, at no cost to you!
