Week of Nov. 12th

Hello!

Hope everyone had a restful Veteran's Day holiday.

This week, as usual, is quite busy.

Today, Wednesday, Dr. Mendez is coming to explain the phases of the moon to P. 17. I know everyone is very excited to see his presentation.

Tomorrow all the girls from Techbridge will be going on a field trip to Google. The boys and I will have a fun time together.

This Friday will be my last day here as a student teacher at Joaquin Miller. I will miss all the students terribly, they have taught me so much. I feel I will be a better teacher because of this experience.

Thanks again.

Miss Walsh

p.s. I am not sure after this week how often there will be a post on this site.

Tutors Needed!!

Hello Parents of P.17!!!

Some parents have been asking Mrs. Moran and I if we know of any tutors. We personally do not know of any, but we are wondering if anyone else does? If so, please email Mrs. Moran or tell her in class. Thank you.

Miss Walsh

Week of Nov. 5th

This week is flying by!

On Monday the students did an amazing job at both of the Khadra preformances. It was great to see many parents who came to watch their children perform.

Wednesday through Friday will be normal days. On Thursday the students will be creating a constellation and myth of their own. This should be a fun and creative lesson.

This week's tests are all on Friday. Those include: Spelling, DOL, Ch. 21 in math and the Open Court assessment of "The Heavenly Zoo." Please make sure your students are prepared!

Thank you and have a great week!

Andrea Walsh (student teacher)

p.s. My last day as Mrs. Moran's student teacher is on November 16th. I will be beginning another placement in January, but am not sure what school I will be at. Thank you for this opportunity and your students were amazing! I learned so much and this placement made me realize that I truly do want to be a teacher! Thanks again.
