Hello! Here is a little run-down of this week's activities:
Monday- The students will be going to Khadra for their last practice before the performances next Monday (11/5)...make sure your students know their lines!
Tuesday- The students will be conducting a very exciting science lesson...make sure to ask them about it. Also, this is the one week mark before our field trip...please make sure everyone turns in their permission slips!
Wednesday- We are going to the library. Please bring all overdue books. Math test after library. After lunch will be the Halloween parade and party.
Thursday and Friday- nothing special to note. Spelling and DOL will be Friday morning.
Reminder: Next week will be my solo week. I will be teaching all day Monday, and in the mornings Wednesday- Friday.

Hello parents of P.17-
This week we will beginning a new chapter in our Math textbook (chapter 20).
On Thursday the Worm Bin people will be coming again to conduct their second of three sessions with the students. We are really looking forward to their arrival!
In a few weeks we will be going on a field trip to the Berkeley Lab. If you could please return permission slips ASAP, that would be appreciated.
Also, on November 5th, P.17 will be preforming their Khadra routines in a series of assemblies. They have been working hard, but parents, please remind them to memorize their lines!
Lastly, just to inform you, I, (Ms. Walsh) will be doing a solo week. From Nov. 5th-Nov.13th, I will be conducting the class on my own. Mrs. Moran will be in and out through out the morning, but this is a requirement for my program. I will be teaching solo 4 mornings and one full day. This is a great opportunity for me and I am very excited to prepare for this week!

Hello Parents of P 17!!!
My name is Andrea Walsh (Miss Walsh to the students) and I am the student teacher for Mrs. Moran. I will try to give weekly updates on what is going on in class. I will be doing this until the end of my placement (which is the week before Thanksgiving).
Tomorrow we will be having a field trip to the U.C. Botannical Gardens. We will be leaving at 8:45 and should be returning before lunch. All drivers need to be here when school begins.
This week there will be no spelling words. Instead, the students will be tested on Unit 1 of the Open Court Reader.
On Thursday there will be a presentation to introduce the Worm Bin to the class.
