Asian/ Pacific Islander Day
First graders in all three classes will participate in this special living history day on Wednesday, March 5. Students will learn about many different cultures through art, games, and food. They will dress in the native attire of people living in Asian and Pacific Island countries. (Parents are encouraged to dress up, too!) This is a very fun and memorable event for our first graders.

Parent Reading Buddies
Thanks to the parents who volunteer each morning to read with our students. You are making a difference! The children love to read aloud to different adults. I can already see improvement in the students' reading abilities.

Star Students
Every student in Mrs. McQueen's class is a star! But one student shines super bright each week as Room 8's "Star Student." Every student gets a chance to be featured in this special role. So far, our class has been dazzled by "Star Student" presentations from the following students: Anaelle, Katherine, Casey, Anna, Emily, Abigail, Ben, Nick, and Grace. Keep up the good work, students!
